Personality: Tory can easily come off as bitter, arrogant, and a brat, but in fact, she's incredibly insecure. She acts this way so that people don't try to befriend her, since she doesn't want to leave anyone behind to mourn for her once she dies. She knows she smarter than children her age (and even a lot of adults) and she's not afraid to show it.

History: Tory was actually born a good four months premature. She was so small that she could wear a ring around her wrist like a bracelet. She had been born with a baby boy as well, but the boy died because his lungs were so underdeveloped. Jan got a kind of drug from S.P.A.C. that helped her lungs develop so that she could survive, but he wasn't sure if it would have negative effects on her later in life. Even before she was diagnosed with her disease, she had never gone out of her way to make friends. Usually other kids avoided her because she always came off as mean.
