History: Vane was born the son of a weregemsbok, and an Elain cheetah. He came out an Elain hybrid of the two creatures. Being both predator and prey, when he first shifted to a human form, he was hideously deformed. He was kept in the basement of his house by his parents. There were a few loose bricks that - for a little while - he was able to pry apart and sneak out. However, the town had an even worse reaction to his appearance than his parents did. They shunned him, kicked him, spat on him, you know...all that good stuff. However, there was one person who seemed to be actually interested in his well being. Yoko became his one and only friend, and to this day Vane is grateful to the fox for that.

After certain events, the goddess Bastet took a bit of pity on him, and fully cheetahfied Vane, as well as fixing his deformed human appearance, giving him a normal one. He was grateful to her, but never actually worshiped her for it. Vane hates all manners of gods. The only ones he doesn't mind is Nathifa (he has to or Akaelin will kill him), Runi (Vane's not a child hater), and Hekate.
